Every day Royal FrieslandCampina provides millions of consumers all over the world with dairy products that are rich in valuable nutrients. FrieslandCampina supplies consumer products such as dairy-based beverages, infant nutrition, cheese and desserts in many European countries and in Asia and Africa. Products are also supplied to professional customers including cream and butter products to bakeries and catering companies. FrieslandCampina also supplies ingredients and semi-finished products to manufacturers of infant nutrition, the food industry and the pharmaceutical sector around the world.
FrieslandCampina has offices/factories in 32 countries and employs over 22,000 people. FrieslandCampina’s products find their way to more than 100 countries. With an annual revenue of 11.3 billion Euro, FrieslandCampina is one of the world’s larger dairy companies. FrieslandCampina has brought together most of its expertise in the fields of innovation and research & development in the Innovation Centre in Wageningen and a Development Centre in Singapore. Every day, around 550 experts are working dedicated on developing healthy, nutritious, well-balanced and tasty food.
FrieslandCampina has established a state-of-the-art Innovation Centre in Wageningen. Various research and development disciplines with around 320 staff, laboratories and a pilot plant have been brought together in a highly sustainable building.

9.2 Wageningen UR – Wageningen
Wageningen Campus is a place for exchanges and connections between knowledge organisations, the business sector and start-ups. On Wageningen Campus sharing knowledge is just as important as developing knowledge, which is why the campus offers numerous opportunities for meeting, collaboration, inspiration and reflection. Wageningen Campus offers opportunities to share the latest research facilities, a library, a meeting centre, a language centre and a large variety of meeting rooms.
With the research institutes of Wageningen UR, national and international R&D companies such as FrieslandCampina, Noldus, Yili, Kikkoman and Keygene, research institutes such as NIOO, educational institutes such as Wageningen University and the STOAS University of Applied Sciences and numerous SMEs and startups, the campus offers the perfect climate for innovative solutions.

A lunch with special meals will be served in the Restaurant of the Future.
This restaurant combines all normal business restaurant features with various research facilities. The lunch will of special ingredients, thoroughly investigated by researchers from Wageningen UR.
RIKILT is only a short walk from the restaurant and is the national reference lab for food safety and authenticity. Some of the latest research insights will be shared with you.
With Food & Biobased Research applied research is conducted for sustainable innovations in healthy food, fresh food chains and biobased products. A selection of research projects will be demonstrated like research on packaging and food processing.
In the division of human nutrition five chair groups joined their complementary expertise in order to provide and integrated approach in nutrition and education. Our professors and lecturers are eager to discuss their research findings on nutrition & health with you.
