Dr. Stephan Peters is manager nutrition research and food legislation at the Dutch Dairy Association. Stephan Peters has a bachelor’s degree in biochemical engineering and a master’s degree in Nutrition and Toxicology. He obtained his PhD based on research on the effects of nutrition on involuntary weight loss (cachexia) in cancer patients. He has worked as researcher at TNO Nutrition (1995-2000) and Numico Research (2000-2007) both in the Netherlands. Between 2007-2015 he worked as science manager at the Netherlands Nutrition and was involved in establishing the new food-based dietary guidelines in the Netherlands. Since 2015 Stephan works at the Dutch Dairy Association. Stephan Peters is member of the program committee of the World Dairy Summit 2016.
