Merete Myrup


M.Sc. in biochemistry and nutrition from the Technical University of Denmark in 1992, and a Ph.D. degree from the same institution in 1995.

Employed in the dairy industry since 1997, the last 4 years at the Danish Food and Agriculture Council as Director of dairy Nutrition.

An important area in my work is research of the role of dairy products and health  – both regarding life-style diseases and in supplying important nutrients in an everyday diet. Another focus area is communication of the health messages of dairy products, to consumers as well as media and other stakeholders.
