Isabelle Neiderer is a registered dietitian and a member of the Ordre professionnel des diététistes du Québec and of Dietitians of Canada. A graduate of McGill University, she has practiced in the field of nutrition for 25 years. Ms. Neiderer has been working for Dairy Farmers of Canada (DFC) since 1991, where she held different positions in the Nutrition department until her current one as Director. She manages a team of 27 dietitians and is responsible for planning and overseeing nutrition programs designed to inform Canadian consumers, health professionals, policy shapers and the education sector about the role of dairy products in a healthy diet. She also oversees the DFC nutrition and dairy production research funding programs, manages DFC efforts related to regulatory issues on nutrition and acts as a nutrition spokesperson. She currently sits on a number of committees including the Dietitians of Canada Regulatory Affairs Advisory Group and the FIL-IDF Canada Board of Directors. She is also the Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee on Nutrition and Health of the International Dairy Federation and is Co-Chair of the Coordinating Committee on Science, Nutrition and Health of FIL-IDF Canada. For the past 22 years, Ms. Neiderer has also penned a nutrition column for a variety of popular magazines.
