Helen Dornom works for Dairy Australia (DA), the dairy industry owned service organisation that aims to support the dairy industry as a growing, innovative and sustainable industry.
Helen has worked in the dairy industry over a number of years in a variety of areas including R, D &E, industry policy and supply chain integrity. This has involved helping industry to assess risks to its reputation/operations and helping to facilitate management solutions.
She is now Dairy Australia’s Manager of Sustainability, including Food Safety and Integrity. The work covers sustainability; food safety/public health; industry integrity (consumer, community and market confidence); regulatory and policy frameworks; and issues management.
Helen has also worked on related issues including export facilitation and market access, industry QA programs and food standards, animal health and welfare. She led a project team for the International Dairy Federation developing the IDF/FAO Guide to Good Dairy Farm Practices and Prudent Use of Antimicrobial Agents.
She is also Vice President of the Australian Chapter of the Sustainable Agriculture Initiative (SAI) Global Platform.
Helen has a Degree in Agricultural Science and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
